ctrcbob Report post Posted December 26, 2008 I thought that all of them were equiped with the aux jack. The jack in my car is located in the center consul. That said, it does not come with a cord. I went to Radio Shack and purchased a cord. (Owners manual told me what size cord to buy). One end into the jack and the other into the device. Works just fine. mofusion Report post Posted July 5, 2009 Aux input was added for either 07 or 08 - it wasn't available on the 06. Forgive the newbie manner of this question but if my head unit has an aux button, why don't I have an aux jack? Is there a way to install an after market aux jack? Thanks

Is there a way to install an after market aux jack? No idea why, but you need an adapter (like the PIE) to use the Aux input.

I also have an 06 and would like to plug the iPod in instead of using RF.

There is no line in jack on the radio - that's why you need the PIE adapter. Did I mention that you need a PIE adapter? If I were you I'd try a PIE adapter....... If I were you I'd try a PIE adapter....... (hint, hint) I think I'd seen some reference to a PIE adapter.. that'd be totally awesome if I knew what a PIE adapter is, or where to find one or... :P I'd found some other reference to needing to reprogram the settings on the factory deck, which may make this a little unttainable.. I might wind up going with an RF transmitter if I can find a good one. Then again, not knowing what a PIE adapter is, that may address that problem :) Thanks
