Here's a strange situation:

Sometimes (about half the time) when I turn on the driver side seat heater, the pilot light comes on, but then goes out about 2 seconds later.  Repeating the attempt, the same thing happens repeatedly, in both high and low setting..  The passenger side seat heater always works as designed.

Of course, I only notice this during winter months when I attempt to use the heater!

Any ideas?

i had a similar issue with a GM product a few years back, turned out the actual grid that was part of the heating element had burned thin over time and eventually would not stay 'lit'-I ended up buying a new insert online and pulled the seat, removed the bad grid and installed the new one, was an afternoon job.
