Recommended Posts

Anyone come up with a rear fog-light, maybe a brake light tied to the fronts, or . . . ?

I wonder if the Euro non-leveling headlight switch with front/rear fogs would do the trick?
Anyone familiar with the lighting circuits?

Not getting rear-ended in a tule fog.

Think they are required fitment in Europe and a few other markets.

Switches only about £45 on eBay, but the sellers are charging £1000 shipping to US.

Going to have to hunt down some old Merkur/Sierra contacts in UK/DE.

What would be the purpose of a rear fog light?

It is a real safety concern if you operate your vehicle in areas with frequent thick fog or blowing snow.  I used to do a open prairie commute in the Canadian prairies where visibility is often drastically reduced.  In such driving conditions most drivers will simply activate their hazard or four way flashers and just drive with the 4 ways on...   but some may have an amber or red "fog" light maximizing visibility for vehicles coming up behind you.
