Adding an iPod to my 06 SE

I've been looking at some aftermarket items to connect my iPod to my stereo. I found the "P.I.E. FRD04-POD/s" and the "Peripheral PXAMG". I found a lot of sites that sell the P.I.E. adapter, but also read it was having problems.

 

I then went the the ford accessories page and found the HD Radio with ipod connectivity (part# "A7FCS-HDRADIO-B"). After doing some reading around, I found a guy that said what you get when you order that is the Peripheral PXAMG + HDRT (source: http://www.f150online.com/forums/showthread.php?t=313942 second post down)

 

So anyway, I was wondering if the Peripheral is what you get if you order through Ford? Also if anyone had any experience with either of these and preferred one over the other.

Why don't you just use the connection in the middle stow bin? It does not charge your IPOD but it plays and sounds pretty good.

I don't know if that option was available for the 06 models, but sadly mine doesn't have it.
