[Solution] - Removing sticker residue and sap

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd share my experience here:

I had some sap on the B-pillar of my FFH, near the door-code and couldn't get it out with water/soap, goo-gone, or rubbing alcohol.

I finally tried some nail-polish remover from a local drug-store and it worked like a charm.

My fear was that the solution would ruin the piano-black shine but it didn't.

It also removed the Sirius sticker residue that was left behind when I peeled off the sticker.

Bottom-line: AT YOUR OWN RISK, try nail-polish remove if all else fails. Please use it sparingly with a soft cloth.

Nail polish remover usually is acetone with some added ingredients like oil.

It is truly a last resort since it will dissolve some plastics.
