redbullssg Report post Posted May 2, 2008 WOWWY, ease up on the CAPS, LOL.... I was wondering the same thing. I test drove an SE the same time I did my SEL. The SE had the audiophile system and Suirus. When I was looking at both, I was told that my SEL that I was purchasing had the same system, but after getting it home, I found that it was not, and didn't have Sirius. I was quit bummed. I went to the local tunes shop and they wanted 1000bucks for two deck speakers a sub and a 4 channel amp. I know I can do it much cheaper. They say that alot of car manufacturers are using head units with RCAs now a days. Does anyone know if ours has them, and are there speaker wires going back to the rear deck? The back of the Visteon unit has the old standby wiring harness as does the Pioneer made NAV unit.
Ozzie Report post Posted May 3, 2008 I found that it was not, and didn't have Sirius. Funny you say that because I was under the impression ALL 07'+ Fusions came standard with Sirius. It was a Ford-Sirius marketing ploy. As it turns out, in CANADA it's ALWAYS included. Oz

I ripped out the factory speakers on my '08 SE, put some real ones in (Pioneer) and added a 12" sub (Pioneer). Two amps, 4 channel for doors and tweeters, and one for sub only. Kept head unit because of Sync and security. 1000 watts total.
dotbody Report post Posted July 31, 2008 Yeah, you can put 6x9's in the spots in the rear deck if you just have the normal audio package. But it's a bit of a trouble getting under the rear dash panel. (You can buy a guide to remove it here. Also, you'll have to cut out speaker holes and put a grill over the speakers. This kind of ghettofies the back panel IMO. You can do it "stealthily" by cutting through the insulation, but it's really tough since it's glued directly to the carpet. After that, you have to figure out how to get wires from the Head Unit back there. It's not too hard to pull up the plastic along the doors and run cable through. Good luck.
