Where Do I Find My Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)?

Recommended Posts

I'm installing a new Pioneer AVIC-Z2 in my 2007 Fusion SEL and I need to find the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Does anyone know where I can find it? Any Pictures? I heard that it could be found in the factory radio harness because it has the adaptive volume control? I just don't know what color wire to look for or anyother location it may be. Please help!

Is there a way you could send me the illus? I'm not sure where to look and what color wire to look for!

according to a post in another forum, it's a blue/orange wire that runs in a harness along the driver's side floor. click here for more details.

good luck :)

I installed an AVIC D3 in my 07 using a Can Bus adapter from Stomp Audio made by pac' I think it was CR2FRD1 this adapter plugs into the factory radio harness and gives you VSS, Reverse signal and Parking brake wire all on the wire harness. This also keeps your factory input jack active. all without cutting wire. I was told by a Ford mechanic there is no access to a Vss signal on the car unless you use one of these adapters.
