Something tells me you've never driven by Ford's Rouge River Plant and the Marathon refinery on I75 there. You need a HEPA filter. The question was about HEPA filters. Tesla and Ford aren't in competition with one another. They are completely different cars and they are both American. A true afficianado of technology, science and innovation would be eager to discuss both. Success is not zero sum. It's because of my FFH that I'd be interested in a Tesla if I had 80grand lying around. But I'd rather spend that on a sailboat. So has anyone found a HEPA for this car? I don't find the factory one much good. However, I wish EVERYONE would ditch this autonomous driving nonsense. The last thing we need is more incompetent people. Sky14FFH Report post Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) This is a follow up to report my findings. I purchased the Fram Fresh Breeze from Walmart for about $20 and installed it myself. Following the instructions and a youtube video Installation was a breeze, no hangups. The OEM wasn't very dirty so I kept it. However, I am unhappy with the fram. Despite the carbon filtration it doesn't even seem as good as the OEM. Diesel fumes filter in even when the heater is on low and there are a lot of those these days with all the dirty trucks and scofflaws out there. Next time I'll be trying the Denso but I'll order both the Motorcraft filter and the Denso the next time to compare. Anyone else experience better results with anything they used? I believe the filter and housing is too narrow to properly filter out pollutants and it is designed simply to keep debris out of the HVAC system and Ford didn't put our health into consideration.
