Dashboard holder for iPhone 6+

Hi! I don't know if anyone here remembers me, even though I started the most ridiculously long MPG Happy Talk thread way back in the day when we were all waiting for our new Fusions to come off the assembly line.

 

Anyway, I am here to ask recommendations for something to hold my iPhone 6+. I have retired and am now filling up some of my copious free time as an Uber driver. I need to be able to keep my iPhone 6+ within view. What do you have, why do you like it, or not?

Hi Elle,

 

Since I don't use my CD slot, I've been using a phone holder that fits in the CD slot. It's the "Koomus CD-Air CD Slot Smartphone Car Mount Holder Cradle". Works great and the phone is easily within finger tip reach (I rest my right hand on the shifter knob).

 

Another solution I used in the past is an "iOttie Easy One Touch XL Car Mount Holder" mounted to the A Pillar quarter glass. (I have a GPS there now and my phone in the CD slot)

I personally like ProClip. It is a bit expensive, considering you have to buy separate pieces to mount on the car and to hold the phone but it works very well and stays secure.

You have probably already found a solution....I am doing the exact same thing as you, in fact it was the driving force for buying a Fusion Energi that I picked up yesterday. I am using the Insignia mount that I bought at Best Buy, it was pretty reasonably priced. Includes both a suction cup and AC vent mounts, I chose the latter. The mount rattles a little until the phone is clamped in, then very quiet.

I bought a few to test out, very similar but only like $6 each. I got it, but haven't tested the EBay

variant in the Fusion yet. Works well on large iPhone 6s Plus.

I have been using this magnetic holder. It's $7, sometimes on sale for $4. Works perfectly I am 100% satisfied so far. It does not work with bulky covers though.
