CCalvinN Report post Posted December 31, 2015 I'm happy to see the General finally coming to the hybrid party. I wish this had been out last year when I was contemplating my current vehicle. Sadly, I don't think it will enter the equation for my next purchase as I really want a plug in hybrid next.

Ditto - but given GM track record on new car introductions, I wouldn't consider it until it's had a couple of years of 'de-bugging'. Being an automotive 'unpaid beta tester' requires a special kind of patience that I don't have.
lolder Report post Posted January 2, 2016 It's interesting that this "Hybrid" uses a power train similar to the Volt which GM insisted was an "Electric" car. It is just a different version of the planetary gear based type of Toyota/Ford eCVT hybrids that's just different enough to avoid patent problems. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
Youngtusk Report post Posted February 8, 2016 I was considering waiting on my purchase for this car, but decided against it because of GM's new car launch reputation as mentioned above. Very happy with my Fusion Hybrid so far. Next purchase will definitely be a PEV, maybe even the Chevy Volt. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
DrDeke Report post Posted February 11, 2016 I like the sound of the exhaust gas heat recovery system on this car. Living in Michigan as I do, the cold weather really does a number on my mileage on my ~6.5 mile commute, largely because it takes most of the trip for the engine to heat up (and that's with the cabin heat at minimum!).
