Bolt

Top pic (orange) is the concept car that was shown in Jan 2015, bottom pic (silver) is the sneak peek at the actual production version. I like the bottom one better.

The pre-prod one resembles a 1990s Mercedes-Benz A-Class! It's a cute compact car that you could think of as a "4 door smartcar".

The prod ones also looks good... a bit small though. Ford really should make a station wagon variant of its Energi to better compete.

Ford does make a station wagon Energi, it is called the C-MAX.

Which is one ugly car. If the C-MAX was the only hybrid Ford offered, I wouldn't be a Ford owner now.

The 2016 looks better with the front end restyling in my opinion.

Ford has a station wagon (and hatchback!) Mondeo (our Fusion) in Europe, so it's certainly possible. But they don't offer hybrid power outside of the sedan.

Yeah, the Mondeo Hybrid is sedan-only (or saloon-only as the Brits would say lol). The wagon is called the Mondeo Estate and it looks far more handsome than the C-Max or the Bolt, on part with BMW's wagons. Putting an Energi powertrain in that thing could steal some share from the Chevrolet Volt.

The Bolt might be a serious threat to the Focus Electric (which I have seen only once in the wild) with double the range. I find the Focus a lot more visually appealing but if I were forced to choose, the Bolt would likely win for the range factor.
