tr7driver Report post Posted September 29, 2015 There is a guy here with a set of 235/40R18 Nankang tires on "universal" steel wheels for a reasonable price. They were used on a Passat, so I guess I should go research offset there. I was thinking of giving him a call and see if the wheels fit the fusion. He didn't say which model the tires were, but I'm looking for a inexpensive winter tire. Anyone have any experience with these tires? I didn't see anything on Tire Rack and googling the brand didn't really give much information. Any hints on what to look for? What would be a reasonable price? He didn't say if they had TPS, but I can live with the warning lamp coming on.
GrySql Report post Posted September 30, 2015 Take a look at this tire website, they list most of the Nankang tires. They also have some tools to find offset and stuff like that.
FernMTL Report post Posted September 30, 2015 I had Nankang NS-2 summer tires on my previous car. Great tires for the price, nothing to say about them. For winter tires, I can't tell. Sometimes, the difference of price for premium winter tires is not much. I had Hankook winter tires before my Toyo. Less expensive than premium and quite a good tire.
