Jason504 Report post Posted September 12, 2015 On my key ring I have the key and then a second thing to start the car. It says if I put it in park and hold that button down I can take the keys out and the car will still run. Then I can run in somewhere quick and come back put the key back in and go.I think that's cool if I can get it to work lol.
corncobs Report post Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) I think you are talking about a remote start!? I have never heard of "Quick Stop" I'm not even sure what this could be useful for. That being said the way you wanna use it makes no sense in a hybrid since the engine won't run anyway once you are parked. Jason504 Report post Posted September 12, 2015 Yes it is the remote start. In the book that came with the manual. It says there is a feature called quick stop. Like if you want to run in a store real quick and leave your car running. You put the car in park push the brake down and hold the remote start. The horn should honk one time then you can take the key out. The car should stay running. Lock the door run in come back put your key in and go. lolder Report post Posted September 12, 2015 Is the remote start a Ford device or some other after market? I doubt that you can remove the key in a 2010 while running. I've never heard of a quick stop. In the 2010 once it's "on", you can exit the car leaving the key in it and lock it with the remote or the key pad. It won't lock with the switches on the door armrest. I think the feature you are referring to is not available

Found these steps on other site, but not sure if it is what you have: Using the "Quick-Stop" FeatureIf you want to make a short stop and keep your vehicle running (to keep the interior warm or cool), the quick-stop feature allows you to do this while keeping your vehicle secure and your keys with you.Stop the vehicle and place the transmission in PARK With your foot off the brake pedal, press and release the OPTION button on the remote control two (2) times within 2 seconds. The parking lights will turn on indicating the vehicle is now running via remote vehicle start. Remove the keys from the ignition and exit the vehicle. Press the LOCK icon button on the remote control to lock the vehicle's doors if desired Edited September 13, 2015 by Timewellspent 1 Jason504 reacted to this

Let me try these instructions. Like I said its not a big deal I just would like to use it. Thanks for finding that.I was beginning to think I was crazy .
