SteveB_TX Report post Posted August 13, 2015 I loved my '93 Ranger extended cab pickup. I wish Ford would wise up and sell the new one in the USA. I would like a new pickup to replace my aging Explorer Sport Trac, but I do not like how big full size trucks have become.
Hybrider Report post Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) Yeah, the Ranger in those photos in that article looks as good, maybe even better than the Explorer Sport Trac to me. I too had a '93 extended cab Ranger, a 4x4 in purple. I liked my Ranger too, but the rear end would get a bit squirrely on bumpy dirt roads, felt like it was fish-tailing side-to-side ever so slightly...darndest feeling I've ever experienced in any drivetrain. talmy Report post Posted August 13, 2015 I'm really surprised that the market for small pickup trucks totally vanished in the US. I had a '93 Ranger, base model (4 cyl, manual transmission, steering, windows, no radio) and then a '00 extended cab that was a bit more civilized. Our daughter has it now.
