H7 retainer spring.

Recommended Posts

Hello. Quick question. I need a spring retainer for my h7 bulb on my new 2015 Fusion Hybrid. So far I have to order a new assembly for over 400$ just for the one spring. Does anyone know where I can get one online. I've tried eBay and Amazon and every part store I could see. Ford dealers across my state all tell me it's part of the assembly.

I would take some metal and bend a new one but since the dealer has my car(took it in cuz the lights stopped and its covered) I don't have the other bulbs spring to compare with.

I ordered some universal ones from eBay for 20$ but the shipping is saying almost a month. Please help. I need my car back and they need the spring to give it back to me.

Note. Doesn't have to be ford oem. And retainer spring that works they will use. Thanks everyone.

Sorry probably should have explained it better. The high beam bulb for the fusion is the h7 bulb for me and the low beam is the h11. The h11 is the push and screw sideway to lock type and the h7 is a bulb that requires a clip, or in this case a spring retainer, to hold it into the housing. Mine is the driver side bulb closest to the grill. Not the projector side. It's sorta like a spring because on two sides it has 90s and goes into two little lips that holds the spring. Then you insert the bulb and push the clip/spring down and lock it against a post on the opposite side. Sorta looks similar to the spring in this pic.

The ones with the 90 degree bends on the ends, not the loops.

You can go to a "hobby shop" and buy a piece for "piano wire" with same diameter as clip on other head light and bend a new one its not that hard to do.
