jadei Report post Posted June 17, 2015 On my 2015 FFH, it took me over a month to realize the right side fuel history information display (the one with vertical time bars) shows my lifetime MPG, since I have never reset it. I realized this today because I haven't reset trip 2 and they both show the same MPG :) Can anyone confirm if I ever lose 12V battery power or have my car in for service and they need to reprogram something that I'll lose this data? Or is it backed up?
Darkside Report post Posted July 24, 2015 I have disconnected my battery a few times and not lost anything, however as some have noticed and it appears to have happened on mine as well, when you hit the 10k, 20k, etc trip two seems to reset on its own. Hybrider Report post Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) The mileage on the Trip 2 display doesn't really reset, it just rolls over, since there is not a 10,000s digit or a 100,000s digit. The highest mileage digit on the Trip 2 display is the 1,000s digit, so it rolls over when it hits 9999.9 miles. And on the EV miles, the highest digit is the 100s digit, so it rolls over when it reaches 999.9 miles. If the Trip 2 display was resetting itself, then the mileage and the EV miles would go to zero at the same time. But they don't since they are just rolling over when they run out of display digits.
