Cobra Dan Report post Posted August 19, 2007 anybody do this yet? i've seen they are some spring kits out there already. just wondering what kind of drop you got out of it and how it looks... also, if you noticed any issues like your tires rubbing or anything like that? Meelaan Report post Posted August 20, 2007 I beleive one forum poster did that to his MKZ and another guy did it to his Fusion recently. Didn't look like much of a difference to me. Front looked higher than the rear. Search the forum.
Dyoct Report post Posted August 21, 2007 It's the Double Vision guy with Edge wheels on his ride isn't it?
Meelaan Report post Posted August 21, 2007 It's the Double Vision guy with Edge wheels on his ride isn't it? That's Turbostroke. Yes, I think he has lowered his white Fusion.
Double Vision Report post Posted August 23, 2007 Nope, my Fusion(s) are stock height. I didn't mess with any suspension mods. That area of mods is still developing and I have read that some guys have camber issues after lowering. Some say they don't and lowering is not a big deal... either way I like my factory ride and stance with the 18"s so I don't expect to be doing any future suspension mods. Dyoct Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Good call. You're right, lowering the suspension will lead to issues. My SHOs are all lowered and none of them can get a perfect alignment nor a centered steering wheel. Not to mention, they all have varying degrees of additional NVH involved. Wait for the warranty to expire, then get to playing around if you're willing to sacrifice some ride quality for improved handling/traction etc.
