vangonebuy Report post Posted April 19, 2015 I went to the NY Auto Show last week and checked out the combined EPA on the F150 and Chevy Silverado.Tried to compare as close as possible trucks. Both V6 & 4WD. Chevy had a better transmission.Best I could compare Ford got 16 mpg and Chevy got 15 total avg combined. Now that didn't seem like much diff. And its not a perfect comparison.But it is a 6.67% improvement.Shows how hard it is to make significant gas reductions through just weight reduction. Highway driving may be bigger difference.
