Installing new console lid assembly?

The cover on the top of the center console of my 2015 FFH is badly cracked/ripped. I see covers for sale, with various instructions for replacing the fabric cover, but thought I'd be happier with just replacing the whole thing. I've found several sources for part # DS7Z-5406024-AB, priced about $75, example below. I'm wondering what would be involved in replacing the original lid assembly with this new one? Previously posted in the Energi forum but I only got one reply that didn't help. Does anyone know the steps to disassemble the top of the center console around the shifter? It appears to snap together similar to how a TV remote control snaps together. I've had poor luck opening TV remote controls without breaking at least one of the tabs. If I could lift the plastic piece that supports the cup holders that would be ideal. I am aware of the instruction in the Owners Manual to manually release the shifter from park. It says to remove the right side panel but gives no clue HOW to remove the right side panel.
