  1. On a roadtrip a few weeks ago in my 2007 Fusion, I experienced muffled popping sounds while listening to music on my iPod. They got loud enough that they interfered with our ability to enjoy the music. I don't use the Aux jack that much so I don't know if this is a chronic problem or just a one-time event. If anyone out there has any comments, I'd appreciate hearing them. I searched the archives but didn't find anything that matched my description other than poor grounding wires. Thanks. SIRBIAS
  2. I have a 2007 Fusion and the external temperature gauge in my climate control panel sometimes sticks. This affects how effectively the car gets to the desired interior temperature. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I mention this to the dealer before I run out of warranty? Thanks! SIRBIAS
  3. Imagine my embarassment at having missed something that in retrospect seems so clear. Needless to say it took less than sixty seconds of further investigation to conclude that the chirp was actually the clock advancing. Thanks for the tip.
  4. Sitting in my 2007 Fusion SEL (5 speed manual, 4 cylinder engine, automatic A/C - if that's all relevant), I have starting noticing a chirp that seems to come from the center IP or from under the glove box. So far I haven't stuck my head down there to see exactly where it's coming from. It's not the blower motor spinning though it may be somehow related to the blower motor. The sound occurs at 2-3 minute intervals while the car is running or when the key is in the "ON" position. I was guessing that it was another of the car's characteristic "fuse popping" sounds that I hear when I activate the wipers or other electrical components. Does any one have a definitive answer? THANKS!!!
  5. The car arrived and the elbow thing has kind of figured itself out. The car is wider than the Golf and Contour that I'm used to, closer to the Passat that we sometimes get from the VW dealer. Thanks for asking though.
  6. My Fusion should arrive shortly but I'm worried that I'm going to have a problem. I'm 6'4" and I like to drive with the seat back, my left elbow on the door armrest and my left hand on the steering wheel. Somehow, during my test drives, I couldn't get this position right in the Fusion....even though this isn't usually a problem for me in other cars of all sizes. Did the interior designers screw up?!!! Any suggestions or comments? TL
