Bumping this thread because I'm new here, have owned the FFH for three days now, and am driving into the San Bernardino mountains next month. (In previous experience, there will be snow.) Was thinking about renting an AWD for the trip, but now it sounds like the car would be up for it. And I really want to find out for myself. So now I'm wondering if I should invest in snow tires for a 3 day trip, or just brave it out and be comforted by the fact that if I get stuck, my seats are heated?
