What kit do you use that requires a ground? every kit I've used has been plug and play.

I wouldn't think the ballasts would have anything to do with it. I'ld call the company where you got them and ask them.

Got my kits from DDM. Couldn't get the dust boots on the heads afterwards. Also, the clear corners came in on the same day and I bought LED lights for those to get the "true" clear effect. Regular bulbs still had the amber look that I didn't like. Got the bulbs from a parts store and they were like 10 bucks for a pack of 2.

I've always ordered my kits from vvme and have never had a problem. Had 8000k on the mustang and had one ballast go out, but got it replaced by the end of the week.
