Can you plug a drive into both USB connections at the same time, and switch between them?

This is interesting to me, because I do the same thing with my 2010 Fusion and have not had this problem... I routinely have my 320GB USB drive plugged into the USB port, and my iPod plugged into the line-in at the same time. When I want to listen to the lard drive, I hit the menu button, go to select source, and pick USB. Music starts almost immediately. When I want to listen to the iPod, I hit the menu button, go to select source, and select line in. I can then control playback with my iPod's controls. Additionally, I also use my Blackberry to stream bluetooth audio to the system. I activate it the same way, by pressing menu, select source, and going to bluetooth audio. All 3 are connected at all times. I just switch between them with the head unit.

I also have a 2010 SEL with tinted windows. I owned the car a month before I took it in and had them tinted. In my case, the automatic climate control works exactly the same after as before, no noticeable change whatsoever. For reference, my rear windows are limo-black, and the front windows are 30%. There is no tinting on the windshield. However, I will say that when the temps were hot outside (summer), I always had to start the AC on Max to get the cabin cooled down quickly. The automatic setting just took too long. Once the cabin got cooled down, then I'd hit "Auto" and reset the temp to 68-70 and it would maintain it very well. This is actually a recommendation in the manual. Now that it's getting colder (30 degrees here this morning), the heat seems to work perfectly on auto, with absolutely no intervention from me.

I liked them from the first moment we test drove the car. Since I bought my 2010 Fusion, I've put over 15k miles on it, day and night driving, and I find the gauges to be the most pleasing, easy to read, and attractive on any car I've ever owned. I drive 90 miles each way to work, and spend most of that time driving in dark or dim conditions. On top of that, the first compliment I get when someone gets in my car is the gauges. People love them. Now I'm not saying you don't have a right to dislike them, but it's your opinion only. The fact remains that the vast majority of people LOVE them, so it's hard to say Ford should have gone with a more conventional approach, like the boring dull-green instrumentation on my 2004 Freestar.
