  1. Just curious. My door drops down and out. I'm trying to visualize your door opening inward. But yeah, the overhead light shines in there pretty well.
  2. 2012 FFH Anyone know how to remove that little storage drawer, left-side dash, above lights switch and below vent? I use mine for coins, and I wanted to check for any stray coins, but I can't find any info on removal of this. Checked O.M., but didn't see anything there on it, (maybe I missed it?). I was looking for some kind of a release or something, (like there use to be for ashtrays), and I don't want to break anything. Thanks
  3. Yeah I was shocked when I picked up my 2012 FFH and discovered it didn't have a box light. I guess 34k isn't enough to get something that is on cars that cost half as much. Good thing that overhead light shines into the area pretty well. But still...
  4. Agreed... NO FRAM filters! Purolator PureOne = good bang for the buck.
  5. Hey Team Getting ready to install the splash guards on my 2012 FFH. Can someone please confirm that there is NO DRILLING INTO METAL necessary? I just opened the boxes containing the 2 pairs of guards and pulled out the instructions. Part #s... AE5Z*16A550*AA & AE5Z*16A550*BA, which I'm pretty sure are the correct items. But looking over these instructions, I see a drill is required, and something "pictured" (no text, so no reading allowed, I guess) labeled as "PM-13-A". What is that? ...Paint or grease to paint over bare metal? I don't know, but if I have to drill metal, I might not install these. Any of you that know for sure, please help. Thanks
  6. Hi All, I'll be ordering my car soon, and wanted to get it from the factory, with Remote Start. I thought I read before, it was recommended to get the RS wired from the factory. As I'll HAVE to put in an order for my car, this is no problem for me. What are the latest thoughts on choosing between the two different Remote Starters for the Hybrid? Any changes from last year? Thanks.
  7. OK thanks, I wasn't sure if that reset on a yearly basis. I got a nice one on my Prius, when I bought it, a few years ago.
  8. Anyone know if there will be any tax credits in 2011, for a Hybrid purchased in 2011?
  9. Yeah Buster1, Not surprised by your assessment of your current ride. The Hybrid System does elevate this car to another level. Throw in the extras, (the 502A pkg.) and you've arrived!
  10. How can an X Plan customer be positive that we are getting any and all of those possible hidden incentives and rebates etc.? Can we be sure the dealer isn't just pocketing them, and NOT telling the customer the "perks" exist? Is there a way to check directly with Ford HQ? Thanks all, for the response.
  11. Hi all, Just found out that I'm eligible for X plan pricing. I'm looking at ordering a 2011 Hybrid. Do you always make out better with the X price? Can you do further haggling after the X pricing? Is the X price just a gimmick? I understand the Hybrid might be different than the rest of the Fusion line regarding "deals". What do you think?
  12. The latest pricing on the 2010 FFHs must be figuring in the 2000$ rebate from Ford?
  13. Thanks lolder, Yeah, I took a few rides in the gen3 Prius, and I really liked it. Gotta say, I've been real happy with my '06 Prius (no probs or issues in 32,000 miles). One of my favorite features in my Prius is the SmartKey system. I am spoiled with that idea of NEVER fiddling with keys while interacting with my car. I was very disappointed to find that the Technologically Wizz-Bang FFH was lacking this feature! However the FFH seems like such a great car, that I think I'll (try to) forget about this, and actually use keys again. Also... You bring up the reliability issue, and I have to say, I never thought I'd be considering a Ford. All that I've been reading and hearing about the FFH has been very positive. So I'm thinking of taking a chance this time with a Ford. However, if I get burned on the reliability with the car, I'll never buy another. Also, I gotta say, I really wish it was made in the USA!
  14. Don't mean to stir up any controversy but, before putting one of those (cheap) Fram oil filters on your new baby, you should do some research into oil filters. I did look into the subject a few years ago, and stopped using Fram oil filters. Seems that they aren't what they once were, ...a very good filter.
  15. Hi all, I've been lurking on this great forum for a while now. I currently own a 2006 Prius and recently took a test drive in a new FFH. Needless to say, I was very impressed. So comparing the FFH to the new generation Prius, I'm thinking of giving up a few miles and going with a much more refined and substantial car. On to my main question... Does the FFH, like the Prius, have no belts to worry about, coming off the ICE? Thanks
