The remote start was a factory installed option on my 2010 FFH

I weened off the 2004 F-150 into an Edge lease for 3 years until FFH in Sept 2010. But the gas mileage, technology, and and size (I live in the city) seem to be a great combo. I do miss the cargo capability.. but thats about it.

Sorry for the late response on this, "rfruth" and "gl3". I get some wind noise on the highway, but drastically reduced by the wind fairing and the way I like to listen to music (real loud). A roof rack, even with having to take of front wheel, is much better IMO for the FFH: - With a wheel-off mount, unless you have a garage issue, the clearance never has been bad - You rear camera may or may not be partially or totally blocked out depending on the manufacturer/style of hitch rack when no bikes loaded. The green/yellow, and red overlay on the screen when may though help you park knowing where your rack lies in the "pattern". Would be rendered useless IMO with a bike or two on it, but again that depends on geometry of bike and hitch rack style. - Finally, and worst of all, the back-up sensors would be on ALL THE TIME with a loud, solid tone when you put car in reverse, unless you disable it. My old F-150 would have a convenient manual switch to turn this function off on-the-fly (more of a towing vehicle, I guess) but the FFH only lets you totally disable it in the dash menu. - I think it's harder to steal a bike (even with locking system) when it is visible, on the roof. Makes me feel better seeing bike when on a post-ride meal, or running errands from a store. Hope this helps!

Which fuse is the Sync fuse? And what else will be erased if i do this? All my Sat radio presets, preferences? Thx!

Every few weeks my USB decides to work, hence letting my iPod work in the armrest. When it works, it works for a couple weeks, then stops syncing with iPod for a few weeks. Any ideas? Thx

Well, I park on the street, so the only reminder would be an ultra-low branch or a parking garage, I guess. But good point; I went from a rear hitch mount on my Edge to this - I will have to give a literal "heads up".

Finally getting around to post this. Found a leftover 2010 with every option including remote start (great today being 16 degrees and windy in Philly). I think the bike rack must decrease the mileage a bit, but didn't really notice a big change before and after it was mounted on my 15 mile mixed urban/suburban commute. I guess highway mileage would be worse off than city with the aerodynamics being changed. I did get a wind fairing. Oh well, I am turning into a mileage geek...LOL. Car is a great for getting me to rides/races, but the storage is a bit tighter than my Ford Edge. But the gas mileage is double - yes - double in the city.

Do you find the tinted windows (and the internal reflection) hinder the BLISS? Thx

Sync not recognizing my iPod through the usb anymore. I tried a different cable, doing a master "Sync" reset, and unplugging an replugging the ipod in when toggling through the line-in choices. Glitch? Any known events or fixes? Thx

@ MikeS - Two questions (since you are the 'guru'): 1. I have Verizon - does this mean i have test compatibility with Sync, or does it also come don to the phone model? 2. When you answer a phone call with Sync, can you adjust the volume of call to a louder default? Thx

Can I text with the Droid Incredible?

1. I am having trouble finding EXACT instructions for the phone icon on my steering wheel. So far I have figured this out: I think if I hit it once, it redials last number. Hold it down while on a call, and it will hang up. So, any other functions? Privacy (mute) 2. Is there a way to set in-call volume to max as a default? I have to increase volume via paddles ever single call. Thanks!!!

@ Mike: Brilliant! My Incredible was not pairing too well on my new Fusion. Read your fix, and not only does my phone stay paired (never really did when sync phone book was toggled on), but also just put in the 15-20 people who I talk to usually. Like you said, why should I put 500+ contacts in and confuse the voice command even more. Thanx!

I have the identical car in the Pearl White. Leftover 2010 Fully loaded three weeks ago. I wanted to get a different color (yours), but had to the smokin' deal The remote start will be interesting to try in Philly winters. I am getting about 35 to 47 mpg in my mixed commute (even with a full bike rack set-up on the roof). Used to fill up once a week with Ford Edge, now every other. $80 a month goes a long way per month! I find more things that i enjoy on this car every day. Good luck with it!

1. Will running the heated seats when a bit chilly get me better gas mileage, or running the heat makes little difference? I tried using the option on the cluster for "Accessory" usage, but did;t see it move much with both scenarios. 2. After i turn my car off, I see the mileage for that trip, and long term mileage. even though I reset the mileage trip computer, that still pops up - does it reset when I refill the tank or for the duration (10, 20, 60 min) I have the efficiency leafs on? Thx! (car rocks, BTW)

I have an Incredible, but having some Sync issues with it. Pairing is spotty, and Sync does not offer compatibly with text messaging. I was thinking of handing over the Incredible to a coworker, and getting a Droid X. So, is anyone using the Droid X with the Sync/Nav package? Pros? Cons? Thx!

Or would this just spell disaster for warranty issues with the complexity of system? (If I can even find one!)

Does anyone know if can be programmed to include the separate fob for factory remote start?
