Lots of 70+mph highway cruising which gets you about 35. As I did my first, I LOVE my ride. She's so beautiful and poised. Its good to be back with you all. first winter with mine and its doing the same thing, i chalked it up to the cold. upside is that 2 miles of ICE running gives me nearly 100% charge to when it goes into EV it goes forever! i just did 78mpg over a 9mi trip.

rattles vary car-to-car, you got unlucky. mine is dead silent save for some wind noise at speed. i would ask the dealer for an extended solo test drive on any H you want to ensure quietness. if brake dust worries you (none so far on mine) get ceramic pads.

nice review. my old car had HIDs and I miss them, but i'm happy with the price and luxury of the FFH.

i take corners faster too so i dont have to watch mpg plummet while accelerating. the car is so solid and planted, its easy.

^^ that's great! best i've done over a 2 mile trip is about 87. but yeah, definitely go more slowly. every tenth on the long term mileage is a victory!

thanks for the well wishes gang :) got the news, totaled but no $$ amount yet. i have a deposit on a 502A red/black (i LOVE the red) very thrilled w/that. pick up nov 15. hopefully the money will come by then, but i have enough to buy it regardless. chat soon :)

in this case i didnt need 911 assist...i wasnt knocked out and it was a busy road, i bet 12 people called plus me. its that deserted road scenario. its a system fault that maybe all companies need to work to fix.

^^haha! my son took it off the car as a souvenir....but its wrecked too finding a 502a down in mississippi is hard, may have to travel a bit :)

it may be different but on my FFH remote start, yes it starts the EV so its nice to have the car cooling off for a minute before you get in. however, when its "on" by remote it also locks the doors so you have to click unlock on the FOB. then opening the door shuts it off again. maybe i'm doing it wrong but the manual did state the same. i dont use it much but it was only $300

Howdy gang. Thanks for your help in my pre-ownership thread! Made the purchase more certain. Proud new owner of an '11 Silver/Stone FFH, 502A, remote start. I had gotten offers I could not refuse for my old car and on the new one. I mentioned before my commute to work is about 2 miles and despite concerns of poor mileage, I'm getting 46mpg there and 51 back (more downhill), AC on sometimes. Overall, I LOVE THIS CAR. Why didnt i buy one sooner? Always liked the Fusion's looks since they came out. Now I can truck around half my commute EV mode while enjoying an awesome stereo and great ride. I already bought a new ipod just for the car and am working on filling up the jukebox. Sync rocks. Already hardwired in my V1. I could just go on, but hey, preaching to the choir ;) OK, later gang. hey gang, put a deposit on an 11 FFH, silver/gray, 502A plus remote start. Got 2K off MSRP, couldnt resist. Going hopefully tomorrow, its on their lot. But here's my question. Fordvehicles.com notes a $500 military rebate, but dealer says he cant find it in their system. I read to have them check VINCENT or something. Why arent they seeing it? I doubt Ford would just pull that. I want my 500!

Hey gang. Poured over the car for an hour today. The trunk works for our needs, the safety ratings are great, the 12-spk sony system rocks, so it really fits me. Dealer said the regular I4 SEL and the hybrid are essentially the same mileage over 35mph and was cheaper, then we pulled up a SEL and Hybrid together and the price diff was only 700. With the expected highway miles I'll be driving I hope I can beat the I4. Anyway, I have 2 dealers looking for an '11 red/stone or grey/stone 502A and they cant find any! Am i going to have to drive 6+ hours to find one?

cool, thanks. on the eco note, i definitely could bike to work and may do exactly that in winter....but i wear a uniform and live in the deep south so biking to work right now is simply out of the question! sweat runs off you just walking to the parking lot. :)
