Wasn't aware of the royalties fee...have to check that out in Canada. Too bad they wait till the sub expires to lower the price. No logic, unless business is that good. I argued too that subscribers with proprietary built-in units from car manufacturers should get a lower price because they can't transfer the unit indoors to use with a sound system, like store bought portable units. Lost that one too. I like the service but it's only worth half price, especially with a built in unit. BTW did they waive the re-connection admin fee?

DaDD started following "Empower" dash mode gauge units., Sirus Subscriptions, are you willing to sacrifice warmth for faster enabled EV? and and 4 others

Mines up in Feb also and they just started calling. Offered me 2 years with 3 months free. I laughed at the guy cause that's the deal anybody gets for buying two years...great incentive. I said they had to do better like 1/2 price renewal. Like the service but it's only worth 6 or 7 a month. They transferred me up the chain, and the next guy made me the same offer, unless I had a promo code giving me more. I asked how to get one and he said they are mailed out at the end of your subscription. So they don't try to keep you until you're gone! Did offer me 3 months for the price of one, but it rolls over at full price unless you stop it. I don't like their billing practices. I'll wait for a promo.

A/C comes on automatically when controls are set to Max A/C, Defrost or Floor/Defrost, page 70 in the 2010 manual. Had me mystified for a bit in the summer. Had been using defrost to clear fog windshield when raining out, A/C kept coming on. Winter here now and I don't think it comes on as the temp is set higher now.

Thanks for this tip! It's been really tough watching my mileage drop off since winter hit here in London, Canada. And it did hit us! Google it. I've got heated leather, so we just use that while the ICE heats up, takes at least 10 - 15 min before it's high enough to for the EV to be stable. Just a new thing to learn how to balance. -
That makes sense, but I was trying to find out why it reset to begin with. Even on a short trip, when you shut down the display show the info for that trip on the right side, it shows the average as the last value the display had while driving on the left side of the display. It's not even calculating the short trip properly anymore

Can you elaborate on 10-15-5 and the fix? My 2010 hybrid reset the average fuel economy reading and now it has quit averaging. Reads out in real time. Going to bring it in, but would like to help point them in the right direction if possible.

Thanks... so is this a known bug to dealers and is there a fix they have?

We've had the 2010 FFH for about six weeks and have slowly been getting the average km/100L down through improved driving habits and a/c use. Had it down to 5.9 until a couple days ago when on the highway in non-evo in started dropping suddenly all the way down to 5.1. After exiting the highway and back in the city, the average fluctuated up and down block to block as it used gas or evo. It appears to have quit averaging and is reading out in real time. i did a reset and and watched it for a day continue that pattern, number will rise rapidly upon acceleration from a stop and lower as engine rev down. Is it a system memory problem. Any ideas before I take it in for service?

Based on what you said above, would running the AC on high on a very hot day cause the the EV to cut out and have the ICE take over for long periods. That's what ours is doing (only second week of owning), with the right side gauge maxing out at 30L/100km (Canadian). Dealer said this would be normal under heavy AC use.
