  1. Thanks to both of you! I will use 19mm socket then - don't remember seeing 3/4" in my set, I will check when I back home. :beerchug: EDIT: oh... you said19mm is 3/4"...didn't you? Though the difference is neglectable, it's not exactly the same, mathmatically, right?. Well, Metric vs. Impereal...I never get it.
  2. There was an earlier post on this topic but info in that post is not accurate, I believe. According to my measure, it should be 13/16, can anyone confirm? I ask because when I used a 13/16 socket, it feels quite loose. 19mm socket is better but still not nicely tight fit - or maybe it is just my expection is too high about the precision of sockets/nuts. Anyone has any experience on this?
  3. Yes but it's said that the sensor will send signal only when the tire spins? Besides, the warning light was on for a few weeks besides those sensors...
  4. I have a different type of question: I got winter rims on without TPMS sensor, so the warning light lit on as expected. However today I found it went off. WTH?
  5. Is that only me who got one problem after another? The remote stopped working all of sudden - the key can still start the engine - just the remote doesn't work. I tried to re-learn the remote but the computer didn't want to go into learning mode. Hope I didn't disable the car's learning ability altogether
  6. Mike, read this post: you can get a ITK for $50 http://www.fordfusionforum.com/index.php?/topic/4441-got-a-switch-blade-key/
  7. Yeap... same guy. I already ordered a new blade.
  8. My complaint is just that it happens triple times often than my old focus.
  9. yeah.. I am glad it worked out, mostly. and Thank you again!
  10. Were you using the same seller? $3 is a neglect-able amount for a new key. I might just order another whole thing + a new blade.
  11. Thanks Allen. Your info is helpful. So there is not connection, electronic or other way, between the fob and blade? If it's true then I will definitely try to get another blade. Update: I just didn't want to give up my $50 so I filed the blade. Guess what....it still couldn't open the trunk but it has no problem on the driver door and programing!! So it's working, just not completely, but that's ok. The trunk lock is pickier but I can use remote anyways. I still want to have a new blade though as this one is shaky I don't feel 100% comfortable with it.
  12. ok, I might got my $50 wasted. I went Canadian Tire, the stuff was friendly and did not charge me anything because she wasn't sure if it was gonna work - and unfortunately, it seemed it is not working. She tried to cut it on one of her cutting machines(the regular manual type that you see in most places) but the key stub was too big to fit in so she used another (plug in, auto type). The key came out with one spot different...I felt I am an idiot because I should have told her to fold the blade so it could fit in the manual machine that is much more reliable. Hope people out there can learn from my lesson. I can still file the blade a bit so the shape will be close to the original, though it is not gonna be identical. Now question: for a perfectly cut key, can it open the trunk without having been program? For now my copy will not open trunk but I am hoping it's just because it was not programed. I am reluctant to program it unless I can be sure programing is the only missing condition. There are limited number of extra keys you can program, and I don't want to waste one. any info is appreciated.
  13. I got the key a week ago, didn't have time to cut it yet. I found the blade is much thinner than the factory one. Hope it won't cause any problem....
  14. I found my fusion gets fog up inside way too often. Anybody feels it too? Besides a light layer of fog on the whole windshield inside, on outside, there also two heavy spots near to center/bottom - looks like caused by the air that is blown out. The weird thing is that these two spot formed when my car is not running,, such as when it's parked overnight!
  15. Thanks for the info OP! I have been looking for buying a spare key from eBay since day one! Now I can finally act. Can I assume you have 2010 fusion? Or it doesn't matter? The only thing un-certain is if we can use this spare key to program the 4th key, but I will just use the spare key and leave my original keys at home.
