  1. I'm having trouble finding an after market filter (Quaker State, Fram, Purolator, etc.) for my 2010. None of the shops I've visited seem to list the 2010 3.0 L. Any help?
  2. Yeah, I thought of just unhooking it as well... but then I had to ask myself why did I bother installing it just to leave it unhooked most of the time. My Malibu net provided the same service without getting in the way. I'll keep trying to get used to it.... BTW, I meant to say "tearing this one out...".
  3. Here's a picture. It was installed IAW the factory instructions (not particularly difficult) and extends down to the trunk floor. It is an "envelope" style net in that it is actually more like a hammock or hanging bag. You can see in the picture how it pretty much fills up the entire vertical opening of the trunk - handy for carrying small stuff, but awkward for stowing and removing larger items.
  4. I just bought and installed the factory trunk cargo net in my new 2010 Fusion. I'm a little dissappointed by the thing. It mounts so high in the trunk opening that it's more than a little obtrusive when trying to access the rest of the trunk. I had a similar net in '00 Malibu and loved it (that's why I bought one for the Fusion), but I'm thinking of tearing this one if I don't get used to it soon. Any thoughts?
  5. Just to clarify what I meant... I wasn't looking for a sensor on the outside of the wheel (huh?), it's just that the stem-mounted sensors I was more familiar with have an aluminum stem and a locking nut. The rubber ones on my new Ford threw me off. Thanks to both you guys for setting me straight. Chev
  6. I just picked up my new 2010 Fusion SEL. Not wanting to leave things to the last minute, I was starting to plan to put together a winter tire/wheel package (yes, I will minus size down to a 16" rim). What I'm struggling with now is what type of TPMS I have. From my readings here and elswhere, I understand that the '09 and older Fusions had the banded type while the 2010 models have the stem type. The problem is that after one look at my wheels, I can clearly see a traditional, flexible rubber valve stem - this tells me that I must have banded TPMS. What gives? I know that I could always just go to the dealer and buy their tire/wheel/TPMS package, but I could save literally huindreds of dollars by putting the package together myself from "other" sources. What is inside my wheels? Arrgghhh!
