thanks. it looks as if its secured to the frame and all the bolts to the hitch seem secure. When the lift is on and someone stands on it, there is lots of 'play' (movement) in it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to brace (hitch) it to help secure it more or if its just the way it is supposed to be. Thanks for all your help.

I'm looking for some help. I'm a disabled Veteran and need to use an electric scooter to get around. I took my 2009 to the U-Haul dealer and had them install a class 2 ,1 1/4" hitch for a lift to carry my scooter. The lift weighs 48lbs. and the scooter is 89lbs. Issue is, when the lift was put on the whole bumper moves with the hitch. Is there a way to strengthen this? It seems to have too much play. I need this fixed asap since I need to get around because I can't walk. thanks.
