Here is a pic of the sharkfin prior to install. The overall size is 7" long from point to rear, 3.5" wide at the rear and 2" tall at the rear.

6 months later and no pic still?

That was my original post...pay attention to the 19 December 2009 date on his post...that's when he wrote his....then you wrote.

"November 27- February 27 does not equal 6 months.

I haven't ordered mine for the same reason that BluHvn has not installed his yet...too cold to mount it. "

Ummm...He wrote his post on December 19th...Where did you get November 27th from? I know, you took it from another post, thereby making a mistake. Then you tried to deny you made a mistake also, which makes 2 fails.

Regardless, where is the picture of this SUPPOSED Sharkfin II? It has been discussed since November and several people said here and on other forums that they ordered theirs, but nobody has mounted one? Like the other guy said; use a hair dryer on it if it's cold. I'm not going to buy one until I see how it looks, and I'm not going to claim I bought one unless I actually buy one.

I'll take the high road and let it go... :shift:

  2. Waiting to see and hear what you had to do to make it work?

No big deal really, installed a new headlight switch (w/foglight) $16.00 at the dealer. Figured which wire showed ground when foglight switch was pulled, and used that to trip a relay to power the fog lights.

Grabbed power at the battery for the relay, used a 15A inline fuse.

The foglights just snap in once you remove the lower bezels. I used an air saw to trim out the bezels so the lights could poke through.

  3. Upon closer inspection it is the switch itself that is clicking when it is pulled out.

I was able to have a look behind the bumper over the weekend, it seems the wiring for the fog lamps is not there.

I will be wiring a relay, that will be controlled by the factory switch, to power the lamps.

I purchased the factory fog lamps Saturday, it seems they just snap in just behind the bezels. I will have to modify the bezels on my car as they do not have the cutout for the lamps.

Done...what a difference they make!! Will post pics once the snow melts.

  4. An update....

Bought and installed the headlight (w/fog light) switch and installed it. When I turn the lights on and pull the switch out the fog light icon illuminates and a click can be heard indicating to me that it is powering a relay.

I haven't had a chance to remove the cover behind the bumper and have a look for the factory fog light plugs, should be able to do that this weekend. If they are there I will check them for power and ground.

    Keep you posted.

  5. Having bought a 2010 S, my Fusion did not come equipped with fog lights.

Does anyone know if these can be added? Is the wiring there? Can I buy the switch and lamps and be good?

    Thanks

  6. I installed a Bronze remote start in my Fusion. No need for a Silver remote start as all it does is duplicate what is on the factory key/remote. No need for a Gold if your car has a factory alarm, although the Gold system does add a shock sensor.

The downfall to the Silver and Gold systems is the physical size of the 6 button remote...it's huge. Carry that, combined with the factory key/remote, and you may hear..."Is that a couple of remotes in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" :hysterical2:
