My 6-month initial Sirius subscription ended back in December and they are still sending me mail trying to get me to resubscribe. No wonder they're going broke.

There is only ONE style of USB plug. Anything else is not a USB. Anything different would be firewire, or proprietary. A USB port is what is in the vehicle.

Sync Trouble at Highway Speeds - 2010 Fusion

It think they did that so they didn't have to replace the mirror when someone says their Sync isn't working right. -
Sync Trouble at Highway Speeds - 2010 Fusion
FtLewis2002 replied to TmD73's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
You're woefully misinformed about the Gen 1 models... Sync came out in 2008, and wasn't in the 06 or 07 models. Also, the microphone on the Gen 1 models that have Sync is in the mirror. What stand-alone microphone are you talking about? Oh yeah, BTW, I can have all my windows part way down with the sunroof open, at highway speeds, and switch albums using Sync just fine...I have an 09. -
'08 Milan E Brake Problem
FtLewis2002 replied to SRMilan's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Suspension & Parking Aid
Sarah, Don't use your e-brake...Problem solved... -
Any time you wash your car, you remove wax, no matter what soap you are using, and even if you don't use soap. That clear coat is what protects the paint. When we're waxing our cars, we're only waxing the clear coat. I haven't seen a "paint" that gets waxed in many years.
-
Personally, I wouldn't use dish soap every time either, and never have. However, the people who are saying they'd never use it, have never USED it before. It's like my wife whenever I cook up some tasty deer meat. She's like "ewwwww"... she's never tried it, but she's convinced it tastes wrong.

if you're going to clay it, use dish soap (Palmolive works best) to strip off any grease, fingerprints, and old wax (not ALL of the wax) before claying the car. Will save you a lot of time. I used to OWN a tinting and detail shop. Or, again, go spend the money on a pre-clay wash product of your choice, which will be Palmolive in another bottle. Here's a link since I'm too lazy to type what boils down to common sense at the moment. this guy uses Ivory, and I use Palmolive before a new wax, or clay. http://www.dccarcare.com/tipowk/tipowk7.html

check weathertech.com and see if they make any for the fusion...they make them for my truck.

Then don't. Buy the expensive car wash stuff that's identical to Palmolive, but costs more. When you wash it before claying it, you want to get all of the crap off of the clearcoat to keep the clay cleaner. Regular dish soap works the best, or, as I said, you can buy the expensive pre-clay concentrate car wash soap. The same soap that smells identical to the green palmolive, and does the dishes, too.

You said the "K" word (kids) so get the leather. Kool-Aid wipes right off....

Hand wash it really good using dishwashing liquid to strip off any car wash wax or dealership wax and clay it. After that, wax it very generously.

I used to use the Gold Class, but switched to the NXT 2.0 for ease of removal, and ultra-slippery finish. All we're really "shining" is the clear coat. Either way, it's the Meguiars across the board for me.

The ones in number 3 look just like the factory rims on mine if you cut a slot out in the middle of each of the 5 spokes...
