  1. Ha, ha... thanks anyway. I'm sure it will help someone out. I went to 4 Ford dealerships, and none of them knew where it was (at the time). So I just installed the portable XM unit and have been living with that. Now that I know where the tuner is, I may re-visit this project. Although I'm considering trading in the car right now. Just tired of it. Thanks again!
  2. Very frustrating. I tore the car apart and still can't find the Sirius tuner. Also, the converter/XM tuner from Terk has been discontinued and it appears there is no solution to this problem. I've been to three Ford service depts. and NONE of them can tell me where the Sirius tuner is. So, for now, I have an XM Xpress hooked up. I was able to run all the wires under the center console and into the storage bin under the arm rest. There I can connect through the "SYNC line in" connection. The magnetic antenna mounts real nice on the roof just behind the factory antenna. The line tucks into and runs in the channel of the rear window and into the trunk. From there, I ran the line behind/under the rear seat, up to/under the driver seat, and into the center console. (I tried leaving the antenna in the rear window on the rear deck but had too many reception breaks) The good news is that the Xpress unit has more features than the factory radio has for Sirius. I'll post picts for anyone interested. :headspin:
  3. Thanks for the info. The link you posted does not have the Fusion listed in the compatability chart for the XMDFOR100. I'll call and see if this is an old chart and is comp with the 09 Fusion. I'll look under the seats for the tuner. Didn't occur to me to check there. I don't remember seeing the tuner behind the head unit when I pulled it. But I wasn't looking for it at the time either. Thanks again!
  4. The Car: 2009 Ford Fusion SEL w/ Moon-n-Tune pkg Sirius satellite radio The issue: 1) How do I (or can I) replace the Sirius tuner with an XM tuner on the factory head unit? I have 2 XM subscriptions and prefer to keep XM. Also, XM has all of the MLB games. Whereas Sirius only carries a few of the games (their selection) on the "Best of XM" pkg. (That's the main reason for the conversion) 2) Can I use the Sirius antenna connection on a portable XM radio (Audiovox Xpress)? If so, where is the satellite radio antenna connection? It's not at the back of the head unit. I looked and that is a normal radio antenna connection. Thanks!
