  1. Hi guys I have a 2009 Ford Fusion SEL with the blue suede package that comes with basically the same tire and wheel package as the SAP but he wheels are a different finish. Anyways I live in Ontario Canada and i use a set of 4 Mazda 6 17" alloy wheels for the winter, i wrap them in a 215/50/17 winter tire, my only complaint is that i find they sit in too far in words, in other words the offsets do not match, for facts the ford fusion on my 18 inch wheels are about +44 (please correct me if I am wrong) and the Mazda 6 is about +55 (once again please correct if i am wrong). I was thinking of putting wheel spacers on in the winter to help this, last winter was my first winter with this set up, overall i was pretty happy, but handling suffered, i realize yes they are winter tires and yes they are 10mm narrower which does cover me for clearance issues with the different offsets, but i find the ride seems to suffer and the car appears to be to wide for the track, i am thinking a 12mm or 15mm spacer. what do people think? has any had experience on fusions with spacers, when do you need lug extensions, what brand do you recommend etc. any help would be appreciated, thanks fusion mike.
  2. hi have an 09 ford fusion SEL 4CYL and i have noticed that the sunroof sometime when your opening it to the vent postion it chattereds and i just noticed t he other day it has scrathed the tint and the frame on both the drivers and passager side of the sunroof, any one else with simmilar problems?
  3. i live in ontario, canada and it gets very cold here, i dont have any kids but i keep my snow brush in the back on the floor and i regularly use the drivers side rear door to get it and i noticed that when its cold out the door was quite hard to open, and now its spring, the drivers side rear door, wont stay open on its on, it looks like there might be some damage i dont know, but i gonna take it to the dealer in june at my next appointnet as it doesnt bother me much, as i dont use it, but it should be fixed.

  5. Hi I have a 2009 Ford Fusion SEL and the fan on the lowest 3 or maybe even 4 speeds doesn't matter what position but it makes a a high pitch chirping/squeaking/squealing noise that when i stick my head underneath the dash i can here, anybody else have a simialr problem? or a similar noise? can anyone help me or relate? and its not the moving air but almostl ike a bad bearing in the motor?
  6. Hi i have an 09 fusion SEL does it sound like a high pitch whine or squeal coming from the fan and when you turn off the unit it sounds like its gradually get slower as if it was matching with the fan speed? and then stops when the fan does?
  7. thanks for all the help guys, i actually called a reputable firestone&Bridgeton only tire dealer and also deal with rims (this is after i have called the mazda dealer and the ford dealer and have them tell me they dont know bolt patterns, offsets, or center bores) but the bow williams tire center which is the, reputable tire dealer, told me the offset for the mazda 6 is +55 as is the ford and the center hub is both 67.1 mm and i know that both bolt patterns are 5X114.3 so this means it should be a direct fit, but i quite appreciate the explanation on offsets, I had no idea what it exactly it meant. thanks guys, and another question does anyone know if the fusions and edge, and all crossovers/cars made by ford use the same tpms band? thanks
  8. Hi guys, im new here so please excuse any posting mistakes. But I have a 09 Ford Fusion SEL 5spd manual and I have optioned with he blue suede package, which comes with the 18' "Euroflange" wheels and if your not familar with this package is it the suspension and wheel combo from the 08/09 Sport Appearance package and I was wondering with the stock wheels being 225/45/R18 with an offset of +44 will a Mazda 6 wheel with 215/50/R17 and a 50+ offset fit, the center hub on both are 67.1, the reason i am wondering is because I can get he 17 inch mazda alloys for 100 for a set of 4. In my personal oppion I would think genral the car would be unchanged because the rim o f the mazda is 7" compared to he 7.5' on the fusion and the higher offset would be offset by the more narrow rim and the outdiameter would not change, maybe by a couple of mm but not much. Will these work? thanks, Mike
