  1. Hi again bbf2530! I just bought a tool similar to this one from my local auto store http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=683. I am hoping it will do the job. I think I will take your advice though even though it isn't a screwdriver and add some electrical tape to it to be safe. Thank you again :)
  2. Thanks for the reply f150harley! Do you think cutting into the rear speakers will lessen the strength or power of the rear speakers any or will it be okay since it is an aftermarket stereo? Also, how do you remove the rear deck to get in there to place the speakers? I saw in another post a link to buy instructions, but I am sure it can't be that hard and I would rather save my $2.99 :P
  3. Hello Fusion fans! The original radio I have is the six speaker radio so I don't have any speakers in the rear deck. If I wanted to add two up there how would I do it. How would they be wired? Would I cut into rear speakers for power or would I have to run wires up to the stereo and hook the wires into the wiring harness? Would an amplifier be needed for the two speakers? I'm not too up on car stereo stuff and I am trying to learn as I go:) I am adding a sub to the car now and am using RCA wires to power that from the back of the unit (after market Pioneer AVHP4000DVD that has rca preamp outs for the sub, which is a powered subwoofer). Thank you
  4. Thanks for the quick reply bbf2530 :) I was searching about this online again today and it seems like that it the plastic door sill is clipped in and they can be a real pain to get out. I hope don't break anything. I will definitely take your advice and try to do it as carefully as possible ;) Any additional tips for the removal of the sills? Just use a normal flat head screwdriver maybe?
  5. I don't know if this helps or not, but before I bought my Fusion I picked up a brochure and accessory guide for the car from the dealership. In the 2008 accessory guide it has listed something called "TripTunes Advanced" listed in it. It is supposed to hook into the CD6 or single disc CD player and give you the ability to control your Ipod through the factory installed radio. It hooks into a wiring harness (not sure if it is the factory one or one that has to be bought separate). It also lists in the guide that it won't work with the navigation unit. I hope this maybe helps!
  6. Hi. I am looking to install a new head unit and subwoofer in my Fusion. However, I am not sure as to how to remove the head unit. Does the front bezel just snap off and then I just unscrew it? Also, I am installing a sub as well. I don't know how to get the wires from the head unit to the trunk though. I think it is probably routed along the bottom of the car near the rocker panel, but how would I get the plastic off to route it underneath? Thank you!
