  1. Here's one you guys can help me with. 08 Fusion SE w/SYNC. In the USB port, my son's ipod plays w/o a hitch. As was my 32GB flash drive loaded with 2,400 mp3's...at first. Now, the flash drive is still inserted, the display shows the title of the song that's playing and the running time of the song that's playing. BUT I GET NO SOUND! Then, a couple of days later...SOUND! This latest NO SOUND period has lasted for 5 days. Everything else is working w/o a hitch. Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue?
  2. I had all my work done by a pro. Check my post in another thread for more detail. I'm letting Ford do my remote start with the other security functions. Only $250 for 08 Fusion. That's cheaper than my pro and according to my service dealer, it's outsourced work anyway.
  3. The first thing I did was get rid of the full range factory speakers in the doors, and upgraded the tweeters in the front door pillars, all Pioneer. This took me from 2 tweeters to 6 (plus 4 supertweeters). Those speakers are hooked to a 600 watt 4 channel Audiobahn amp. I kept the 6x9 subs in the rear deck. They're the only speakers in the car with a separate amp from the factory, all others ran off the factory HU (not nearly enough power for good clear crisp sound). I also added 1 12" Pioneer sub that's mated with an Audiobahn 400 watt amp and a capacitor. Sounds excellent! I'm 46, so boom wasn't what I was looking for. Good deep rich concert like sound was my goal. Had it all done professionally with a custom board built for the amps and capacitor, carpeted to match trunk interior carpet.
  4. I ripped out the factory speakers on my '08 SE, put some real ones in (Pioneer) and added a 12" sub (Pioneer). Two amps, 4 channel for doors and tweeters, and one for sub only. Kept head unit because of Sync and security. 1000 watts total.
  5. Please let us know. I ripped out the factory speakers on my '08 SE, put some real ones in (Pioneer) and added a 12" sub (Pioneer). Two amps, 4 channel for doors and tweeters, and one for sub only. Kept head unit because of Sync and security.
  6. My question is, if you make stereo mods, do you lose Sync?
