  1. No fluid loss. I had found those part numbers, too, but Ford was not able to supply the parts. I ended up finding them from Maktrans (a transmission repair shop in Eastern Europe) and got them shipped from Ukraine! But I got it all put back together and running. As far as the cause of the failure, best as I can tell, the bearings on the transfer motor wore out. So, if you have a 2.0L with the HF35 transmission (Fusion/Cmax/MKZ Hybrids) and you get a loud growling noise from your transmission, have it pulled and do a bearing replacement before something else breaks! It actually wasn't that hard of a job if you're mechanically inclined and you have an engine hoist. I did have to make a jig out of plywood and #10 stainless steel screws to be able to pull the core out of the electric motor (the service manual calls out a specialty tool that costs $1200 online).
  2. 2018 Fusion Hybrid, 195k miles. I've had loud engine noise when at low speeds for maybe a year. About a month ago, it shut down on me on the highway. I was getting a P0E4E code (Engine lockup) and P088E (planetary failure). When I got it towed home, the engine was locked up. I dropped the transmission, and the engine would turn. So, I broke apart the transmission, and found the planetary gear assembly, ring gear, oil pump gear, the sun gear and it's thrust bearing all torn up. Everything else looks fine. Ford sells everything but the sun gear and its thrust bearing. They can't even supply the part number. From what I can find, the H4F45 transmission in the 2020+ escape Hybrid is the same, but still can't find the part number. Does anyone here know where I can order these from?
