  1. I bought my FFH at 125K miles. The throttle body was very black and dirty and so I cleaned it with carburetor cleaner. I also removed the MAP sensor and cleaned it with mass air flow sensor cleaner. DO NOT USE carburetor cleaner on the MAP sensor! I have read that the atkinson engine in the FFH causes the throttle body to become dirty. That makes sense to me because the intake valves remain open a short time into the compression cycle.
  2. Did you remember to unplug the HV at the traction battery before working on the water pump?
  3. Last week I bought a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid from the State of Colorado. With 124,700 miles. I suspect based on observation of the rotors they have not replaced the brake pads or rotors. There is little to no lip but the rotor has ridges perhaps from small rocks or sand. I will be doing a 4 wheel brake job with new rotors and pads in a couple of weeks. i do have the workshop manual and will follow the replacememt instructions there. I will disconnect the 12v battery before starting work, any other advice?
