Hybrid Coolant Flush Questions - Much Fusion Confusion

I have read the above and appreciate the information. I have a 2011 fusion, is the above mentioned process the same? " Confirm the SOBDMC / TCM coolant pump is running by feeling for vibration at the pump." If it's not running how do I get it running? Is there a maintenance mode or something? Thanks
