  1. Greetings, I recently replaced the 12V battery in my 2015 SE myself. I have even more recently read that the battery timer may need to be reset in Accessory Mode. I have researched the instructions on how to do it with the high beams (5X) and brake pedal (3x). Is that necessary, or will the car eventually figure out that there's a new 12V? Any advice is appreciated, I don't want to go fooling around with hidden features and really jack things up. Cheers!!
  2. 2015 Fusion Hybrid SE 35+K miles Purchased new Greetings, The check engine light has come on twice in a week, both for the camshaft position sensor, and each time I was climbing I-70 into the mountains of Colorado. The first time the light cleared before I could get a reader on it, but since the alarm is stored, I'm sure it was the same warning. It ran a little hard, more reving? than normal and I discovered that that can be a symptom of the sensor malfunctioning. Between occurrences the car ran and sounded fine in town. Additionally I've had several small annoyances recently. My phone won't sync from time to time, the climate control comes on into settings I've never used when I push the sound system button, and when the radio comes on it's on the FM dial and not my USB. I've read that an ageing 12V battery can be the culprit of several electrical glitches. Can all of this be traced back to the 12V battery, or is the camshaft sensor a separate issue? I will test my battery later today to see what condition it's in. Thanks!! So I'm pretty sure the battery is OK. I measured 11-12 volts across the posts. What I need now is verification on the location of the camshaft sensor. I can't seem to find anything online specific to my car. I'm thinking of replacing it myself as I can't get into the Ford dealership until the end of the month. Although I may just take it to the local shop I take my '92 Dakota for oil changes and have them do it. It seems easy enough I just want to be sure I'm taking out the correct part. It appears to just under the vent tube and air intake.
