Joining the thread, starting the same on a 2013 fusion

I just picked up a 13' FFH SE with 'known bad transmission' diagnosed by dealer and 2nd opinion the car needs the transmission fixed/replaced - 190 k kilometers. I bought it for project to pull the trans, dissassemble and see if I can repair - for fun! Is anyone here familiar with the actual removal process. I have a factory service manual on order, but best I can find so far is that I will need to remove the subframe and take it out the bottom. Wondering, how much vertical clearance I need to remove the subframe, I am working on a DRIVE ON hoist. I will be documenting the process, but still researching before starting into it. Pete
