Thank you both for responding to my message! I will certainly reach out to a Service Center Rep/Advisor before finalizing any online purchases! I guess I just thought they would withhold that information since I'm not looking to have them do the repair/installation. @Ncsugrad2002 Thanks for doing the hardwork lol. As mentioned above, I have the Hybrid model and I wanted as much information as possible since online listings (eBay, etc.) note that 15' and 16' Hybrid Transmissions don't match up to work on my 13' FFH. For the most part, I assumed it was just eBay listers covering their tail since retrofitting a newer transmission can be questionable. I've also been trying to expand my search options by seeing if the MKZ and C-Max Hybrids utilize the same transmission (since parts are becoming harder to find).

Sorry for the delayed response! I too am on the hunt to match part numbers with our no longer supported 2013 FF models (mine being the Hybrid). Were you able to make the 16' FFE Transmission swap work? And if so, what was the model number used? Been trying to narrow down the year range and model type (standard or hybrid/energi) that are compatible with my FFH for online purchase but most people on here didn't post that info since it was replaced under warranty. Appreciate you answering questions and pointing me in the right direction!

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but any updates on successfully swapping our your transmission? Looking for as much advice as possible for my 13 FFH that's in need of a transmission swap.

Basically in same position as OP. 13' FFH is over 100k miles and pretty noisy, with all signs point to the well-known transmission issue. After receiving the $5400+ quote from Ford for repairs, have been contemplating ordering a salvage transmission from eBay/scrapyard for a local shop to install. Thanks for mentioning the glass jar test, as it may help me choose which repair is necessary (bearing kit vs transmission swap) without costing an arm and a leg.

Hate to bring this thread back from the grave, but was TSB 13-12-24 the official resolution for this problem? I have a 2013 FFH with 84K miles and suffered the same symptoms of loud engine and "stop safely now". I had Autozone pull the CEL code this morning and they came back with P0340 (Cam position Sensor fault on Bank 1). Tried researching the error code for the hybrid model but yielded no results. Just curious if it's something I can handle myself or if I have to take it to the dealership?
