  1. I have had my Fusion Energi since the beginning of April. I have had to clean the inside of the windshield at least once a week. The dealership has no clue what is causing this. I take my Mustang to car shows every weekend and decided to ask my friends there if they had ever heard of this. They said it is gasses coming off the plastic dashboard. I'm not happy that I am inhaling this stuff. They suggested that I cover the dash with towels and then clean the inside of the window with rubbing alcohol being careful not to get the alcohol on the dash. Then I should clean the inside with Invisible Glass. I plan to treat the plastic on the dash with a sealing detailer that I use on my Mustang. Hopefully this will slow down the gasses rising up to the windshield. One of my friends said he did this to his wife's Cobalt, and he only had to clean the inside of the windshield every 4 or 5 months. That is certainly a lot better than once a week. I plan to do this on Saturday, so I'll post later and let everyone know if this method works.
  2. I have to cleaan the inside of my windshield at least once a week. I work at a Ford dealer, so I had service look at this problem with no conclusions. So I asked my friends who I see every week at local car shows. They said it is the dashboard curing and emitting gases. I am not crazy about the prospect of inhaling these fumes every time I drive the car. What my friends recommended was to cover the dash with towels and then clean the inside of the windshield with rubbing alcohol being very careful not to get any alcohol on the dash. The rubbing alcohol will cut through that film and remove it. Then I can clean the windshield with Invisible Glass. After that I plan to apply a detailing product that I use on my Mustang in hopes of sealing the dash enough that the film will not accumulate as quickly. One of my friends did this on his wife's car and it cut down on the number of times he had to clean the inside of the windshield. I plan to try this on Saturday. I'll report back later on how this works.
