  1. Just wanted to thank you for the follow-up on your post about the motor mount being the fix.  I had been chasing a vibration for awhile and after seeing your post decided to change the mounts.  All is well again.  Might have still been looking if i hadnt found your post...thx.

  2. We purchase a new one through O'Riely auto parts and (My dad works there = discount) paid $98 for the part. Cleared the PCM codes drove to work today and all seems fine so far. Got further than we have after we cleaned it. I just think it needed to be replaced.
  3. Honestly just by the way it sounded and listening to it for about a month or so. Sounded like a car door wasn't closed right.
  4. Is this a reputable place to order parts from http://www.bluespringsfordparts.com/2010-ford-fusion-parts.html The part number I got is Part Number: DS7Z9E926D
  5. Does the dealer charge for updates?? We've been having this wrench light come on for a while with no performance issue, and noticed that it would only come on during the summer time (AZ), during non-summer we didn't get a wrench light. Just recently we started having performance issues with the wrench light coming and engine light coming on. We hope it's just the throttle body that needs replacing.
  6. I know this is old, but we are just now have some throttle body issues. We tried cleaning it and it worked for about 8 miles, then the problem came back, so the electronics in the TB are failing. At least that's what we think. What did you work out with yours?
  7. Hi We have experienced the wrench light for a while now with no performance issues, then just a few days ago, it started coming on more often, then we started to have the performance issue along with a check engine light. We could not go over 40-45 miles an hour, and battery is drained during this time. Stop the car turn it off, wrench goes off, engine light says on. Go to accelerate and wrench light comes on again. During the time, battery doesn't charge well. Does fine when wrench light is off. We cleaned the throttle body (was really dirty with lots of carbon buildup), took it out for a test drive, fine (engine light still), drove to the gym (not a pokemon gym...lol) all went well, ran smooth, but halfway back home, wrench light comes on again and car won't go over 45. I think that the electronics in the throttle body are failing and it's time for a new one. Anyone else with throttle body issues?
  8. UPDATE: It was the passenger motor mount causing all this. Had it replaced and all is good.
  9. Thanks gkinla. Just wanted to know if maybe anyone else was or had experienced the same sort of issue and what it was/could be. My husband is pretty handy and if we can fix ourselves and save some cash that's always a good thing. We just are not sure where to look next. Plus it always a good teaching lesson for our kids. Anyone have the same or similar issue?
  10. We own a 2010 FFH. We purchased it used in 2012 and it's worked great since then. Only thing we have done so far are replace the under the hood battery and the spark plugs (twice), cabin filter, and of course engine oil when it tells us to. We initially the thought the vibration was coming from a bad spark plug, so we ordered new MotorCraft ones and the vibration is still present with the ICE is running at low RPM and up to about 60mph you can feel it. We also thought bad gas or something, but we have been through a full tank and vibration issue still persists. A couple of days ago at very low speed when the brakes are applied, I hear what sounds like a rubber hose rubbing against something on the passenger side engine compartment. We are thinking engine mount on the passenger side, but not sure how to check it. Anyone have any ideas on how to check if the motor mount is bad or maybe what else would cause this issue. There are no lights coming on in the dash and the engine seems to be running fine, sound wise, it's just the vibration from the engine that causes the rearview mirror to vibrate and whatever is loose in the dashboard area, mainly that compartment door on top of the dash. Ideas or thoughts? Thank you!
