  1. Hi Everyone. Bought a brand new 2013 Ford Fusion in Ontario Canada. I love the car, but ever since I bought it I have noticed a strange smell that is coming from the vents when the heat is on. A/C does not produce this smell. It is not a mold smell, but a smell that is toxic. The car has 4000 miles on it now and its still there. It is so bad that I cannot drive with the heat on at all. Now with sub-zero weather I am dying in my car! At first I was thinking it was part of the new car smell and that it would off gas as time goes by. I have also ran the car on the driveway with the heat on to expedite the off-gassing, but the smell is persistent and is not going away. Anyone have an idea on what it is. The smell seems to be worse when it is on AUTO mode. I had this looked at. Dealer didn't do a thing. Actually I don't think they even popped the hood. No one was able to smell it, except for me. I took a ride in their other Fusions and none of them had this characteristic smell. Of course they were trying to smell it in the shop with the windows open, so that shop smell really masked it. I am a point I do not know what to do. Dealer thinks I am crazy, but the smell is there. I sat in other cars and none of them do it! My car is not a Hybrid. Someone forwarded me here from another Fusion forum... and I am just extremely frustrated. I paid a lot of money for a car I love, but can't stand to drive! Help!
