  1. Yes on my home page it says A new Myford/MyLincoln touch update is here. When I follow the links to the upgrade page it tells what version I have and that I am up to date. I also have a 2005 escape hybrid registered and it's smart enough to not show that screen with the escape. Also my car is a Lincoln 2014 MKZ and I can check the version on the MLT 8" screen in the car. I think MLT and MFT are almost identical, but not exactly as my wife has a 2013 Edge and I can find a few little changes in the layout but I can still find the MFT version number. I upgraded the Edge myself then as requested reinserted the SD card in my computer and followed the directions so ford would know the install was done successfully.
  2. If you have the 8" screen with the four corners this should work. The story was in PC Magazine. “Navigation Capabilities on All MyFord Touch Cars - But It Ships Disabled Ford explains: When you take delivery of a Ford with MyFord Touch or Lincoln with MyLincoln Touch, you get a vehicle with an 8-inch touchscreen and you also get the navigation application embedded in the car. But it's no good without the navigation SD card, for which you pay $795, and then Ford activates the car and enables navigation. That apparently means you can choose to have factory onboard navigation the day you take delivery. Or, later on, you can choose between factory navigation or a third-party portable GPS system that will be clunky, take up space on the windshield, and cost half what Ford charges.” I think the upgrade is done by installing the Navigation App: Navigation/16777215 and inserting the SD card. Charge is 795.00.I have been looking for a dealer to do this for me but so far they don't seem to know about it. If you get any more info on it please PM me or post in the forum. I will do the same.
  3. You may be correct. If so why do several major news outlets have the quoted story and ones like it coming form named Ford sources. You can google it and find it or if you really want my sources I will google it and post the URLs. Not trying to be argumentative just trying to figure it out. Chrysler also has a similar program. Thanks

  5. I have the Apple cable with the RED, White, Yellow and USB to keep the iDevice charged. I can't get it to work. I did try it with out the usb pluged into one of the usb ports because I thought that might interfere but still no luck. Tried with parking brake on also. Let you know if and when I figure it out. Tried the Apple cable again today and it worked as long as the car was in park. Video and audio. I think the 30pin connector was just not plugged in the the iPhone 4S correctly. Still working on heaving contact pictures show up and no luck so far.
