  1. So true. The cars I had growing up, I could have fixed myself in the driveway. Not now.
  2. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! Fuel Pump Relay. (we'll see). The car would not start for the dealer after sitting in their parking lot over the weekend. So that helped. According to the paper work, They preformed a EEC system diagnostics "Quick Test" then they repeated the test. Then a EEC system diagnostic "Pin Point Test" Bottom of the paperwork says that they preformed self testing and received......... DTC U0109 PCM for "Communication failure with fuel pump control module. Then they preformed diagnostic pinpoint and found......... Faulty Fuel Pump Relay So Fuel Pump Relay was replaced, all codes reset, and retested. All good now. So this problem showed up at 6,800 miles. Has been intermittent until now. Car has 8,500 miles on it. Bought it at the end of Aug., 2013. So 3 1/2 months old. At the first sign of this problem I would take your car to the dealer and relay this information to them. This can save you a lot of grief!!!
  3. We don't have the Engeri Hybrid, just a stock 2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium. Bought at the end of Aug., 2013. It now has 8,600 miles on it. We had this problem start at about 6,800 miles. Car would start, back out of the driveway, go forward about 100 feet and then the warning came on the dash to pull over right away. Wait a couple min & restart no problem for another 100-200 feet. Restart the car and all if fine. No problems for a week or two, then the problem returns. Takes more tries to restart the car. Longer wait time before trying the restart. As long as 5 min. No trouble again for 3 weeks, then it happens again. This time the check engine light comes on also. Get the car restarted. Drive for 2 days, no problem but check engine light still on. Next day get in car to head home and to the dealer, no check engine light. Leave at dealer. They do a full diagnostics, software update, but find no problems. Could not get a code from the check engine light. Dealer could not get the car to act up. So we take it home and all is fine for the last few days. But last night it happened again, and this time would not restart. So had it towed to the dealer. They were closed and won't get to look at it until Monday am. I don't know what all checks you all are referring to. ET, VAR, and what is ICE? We are going crazy trying to figure this out. Maybe this time the dealer will find something. Bottom line, it seams like the gas engine is not starting, and the car can't power itself on just the battery. Anyone have ideas?
  4. We tinted our Fusion Hybrid a month after we bought it. In Oregon the legal limit is 35. On the stock car, the windows show that they are already at 35. We had 35 put on the 2 front doors, nothing done to the windshield, and 20 on all the other windows. No problems with the cops. I think it's because we only did the 35 on the front door windows. No problems with seeing out of any windows. It adds a lot to the look of the car! Glad we did it.
  5. Had the shark-fin antenna put on today. It looks GREAT!! Ford should do this as a stock antenna. Photos of the old & new are in my photo album, or click on this link for a photo of the new SF antenna. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/gallery/image/1233-new-ant-1/

  9. I won't go way back. Too many cars to list. 2000 Z28 Camaro 2000 Jeep Wrangler Traded the Camaro for a 2005 Ford ranger pickup 4x4 because we needed a truck. Traded the wrangler for a 2003 Jeep Liberty for the extra space & full time 4x4. When gas started going crazy, we sold the Liberty, & bought a brand new, very hard to find 2007 Prius pkg 6. 6 years & 80,000 miles later we traded the Prius for our 2013 FFH Titainum, Ice Storm. Picked it up 3 weeks ago. Considered another Prius, the V model, but it's not a very visually appealing car, & here in Oregon, they are everywhere. The FFH is a hot looking car for a 4 door sedan. Considered the Toyota Avalon, but over priced in my book. Also the Camry, but MPG was too low. Would have bought the FFH Energi but needed the trunk space. We really wanted the Tesla but that was just way too much money. Our FFH is a great car. We knew that with the Ethanol in the gas here in Oregon, we would never see 47mpg, but we are averaging 37. We got 40-43 with the Prius, so we are happy. We also have 2 Harley's that average 40-45 mpg and we ride them quite a bit.
  10. I had mine done 2 weeks ago. Suntek tint. Front windows 35%, to stay legal, back passenger windows 15%, and rear window 20%. It really looks sharp.
  11. My grandmother-in-law has a Honda Crosstour. When she puts it in reverse her mirrors point down to assist backing. Handy when you have curbs. But that's not a Ford thing, though I wish I had it. My mirrors are acting up. I've had the car for 6 days now. Wife sets position 1, mirror & seats. I have position 2. When I get in the car & select my position 2, the seat goes to the right spot but the mirrors don't. So I reset then I try her position 1. Again seat is fine but mirror setting is way off. Often pointing down. Then I press my setting and everything is fine. I'm taking it in for the protection pkg next week & will have service see what's up.
  12. Yup. Visual garage site is "under construction". So I just ordered one from Juicedhybrid.com $89.50. Should be here in a week.
  13. Just got back from the tint shop. On the front windows I had 35, rear windows 15, and back window 20. I also had the little side windows front & back done. Total came to $230.00 This was Suntek Carbon window tint. Car looks great!! 3 photos are in my photo album.
  14. Getting mine done tomorrow, 8-20-13. Same guy that did my Prius 6 years ago. Great work. He reminds me that the law here is 35% on all car windows. But is willing to do 20 on the back and rear passenger doors. Leaving the front 2 windows 35. Do you find that 20 on the front (driver & passenger) windows is to dark on cloudy days or nights? I also noticed that my windows already have a 30 factory tint all the way around. I need the back as dark as I can, but worry about the front being too dark for me to see out of at night. And if the front is too dark it draws attention from the law. I'll just stick with the 35 up front for now I guess.
  15. Online on ford website I read where ventilated seats were an option as was heated steering wheel and park assist, on the hybrid titanium pkg. The 2013 Ice Storm, hybrid titanium we just got 5 days ago has everything but those 3 items. The wife would really love to have them. I'm wondering, since its supposed to be available as an option, the car must already be wired for them. Couldn't the parts dept order what's needed & service put them in? I'll be asking my service dept mgr next week when I go in, but I thought I'd through it out here & see if I can learn anything from other owners.
