Dealer called me yesterday to say the car has arrived. The labor day weekend holiday will delay things a bit, but they'll clean it up and inspect it before I meet them Wed after work. Fingers are crossed. Yay!

Welcome Santa. I hope you enjoy your new car!

Welcome, Skydogz. My first test drive was with the nicest, most personable, non-pressure-y salesperson ever, in an Ice Storm. I enjoyed the color a lot, especially how it sort of varies by the angle. I ruled it out at the end of the evening mainly because I thought it added 20 years to my age ;-) I decided to order the dark blue with sport wheels to placate my inner teenager. So glad you and many others are enjoying our car. I know I will, very soon.

I am not that patient in real life, but this experience has been mostly fun. The plant down time in July and the long stretch leading up to the sticker generation were sometimes a drag. I mainly filled that time with catching up with the forums, looking at the crazy stuff people are doing mod-wise and shopping for goodies on the interwebs ;-) I think my second purchase for my car will be the spare wheel/tire/jack so carefully documented here. Soon after delivery I plan to get a local friend set me up with some window tint.

Am hoping to get DRL enabled on my FFH. Really got used to having them on my Cavalier and while I often reach over and go with full lights at any time of day, having the DRL pop on when in drive is nice for when I forget.

Welcome orzz. Similar boat, or train, here. My SE Hybrid went down the line just after the 15th and seems to be assembled. Waiting on the etis site to update to 'choo-choo' status ;-) Soon, my friend, soon.

Has anyone got a VIN for their 2014 FFH yet?
SpeedFace replied to Koi's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
My VIN was given to me on July 26. My window sticker was generated August 8. Woot! -
Hello again. Got an update late last week while winding up vacation at the beach. The sticker has been generated and from the experiences I've read on the forums, I reckon assembly will being late this week or early next. Then we're a choo-choo ride away from delivery. Been learning so much from everyone - thanks to all for sharing your experiences, good and bad. I will try to chime in when I can. Cheers, SpeedFace

Just registered and wanted to introduce myself. It has been fun lurking on the various Fusion-related forums but it is time to peek up from underneath my rock. I especially like to read about various interior/exterior mods people are doing but honestly, just being around other excited owners is a lot of fun. Three weeks ago I decided to go with the Fusion Hybrid over the Camry and placed an order for a dark blue SE. I am a recovering Chevrolet user. My 17 year old Cavalier is starting to worry me a little, so I've been saving my shekels for something new. My brother sells Chevys and while I like to give him my business, GM just isn't as well placed in the hybrid/ev market right now. I told him that when they re-release the Caprice with 300-mile Tesla-style range all electric, I'll gladly come back to GM hehe. In the meantime, it looks like the two plants assembling Fusions are about to kick it into gear, so maybe my order will get produced in the weeks ahead. Am getting excited and while waiting sucks (I have no patience at all), this gap in time is actually a blessing as I can stoke my excitement, learn from geniuses who preceded me and have some fun. Am not one to savor much but this experience feels different, better. All the best to everyone. Be safe, have fun and see you around the forums! SpeedFace
