Does anyone know the size of the washer for the drain plug? -
Oil Change Info for 2013+ Hybrid/Energi
Rupert replied to jeff_h's topic in Maintenance & Do It Yourself
I can't find the type of motor oil in the manual. I saw a post earlier that said Motorcraft Synthetic Blend is usable so that's what I will be using. I'm at 22% oil life but it hasn't been a year and I'm only at 6,000 miles. Not sure if I should wait till June, which will be a full year. Yeah I'll probably do that. -
I got my 2013 Fusion Hybrid in June of 2013 and I get this battery saver message from time to time. It seems pretty random. The weather has warmed up over here the past two days. It's above 50 degrees and I've been getting the battery saver message since yesterday. What bothers me is the unpleasant chiming noise it makes when in battery saver mode. I guess the problem will randomly go away in a few days or so.

The Race To The Red is something I'll never understand.

I "REALLY" hate cold weather, What to expect in MPG.
Rupert replied to acdii's topic in Fuel Mileage
My job is 9 miles away from home. In my mostly city driving trip to work, I've been getting mid 30s to low 40s. I was getting mid 40s to low 50s in the summer. It's a little frustrating because I don't feel like I'm doing any less EV driving. I hope it won't get much worse. I got 422 miles out of my last tank. I can be content with that. I was getting 225 miles out of my 2010 Honda Civic during the winter. -
Is There A Quicker Way To Rewind Songs?

Ok. That's not as bad as I thought but it still seems to take a long time. -
Is There A Quicker Way To Rewind Songs?

Yeah you just hold the previous track button & it will rewind but only in two second increments. Takes a long time to re-listen to a cool section...if it's a lengthy section that is. -
Is driving at 60mph with Eco Cruise more efficient than trying to drive in EV at 60mph? I have a hard time letting the ICE drive the car that whole time when I know I can drive some of the distance in EV.

It's really slow like only in 2 second increments. It takes a long time if I wan to re-listen to a section of a song.

This happens quite frequently with a short trip after the car has been off for a while. MPG is low on the first trip but the subsequent trips are really good. It all evens out :)

I got to 501 miles with 14 miles left to empty. When I filled up my tank today I actually let it go for two clicks. I've always stopped after the first click. I put in 11.131 gallons according to the pump. I'm very satisfied with this. My 2010 Honda Civic could go about 275 miles in the summer & 225 miles in the winter.

I'm at 489 miles with 30 miles left till empty with the low fuel display on. I think I'm gonna go for it :)

Thanks Jeff_H. I'll look into that. Edit: I reformatted the USB stick using FAT 32 & I put one album on there. It worked with Sync but the tracks were all out of order. Voice commands worked though so this could be a good start. If this works out, I could just buy a USB stick with a bigger storage capacity and put my songs on there. Thanks Jeff_H.

I don't use the iTunes library so I wasn't sure how to use that SyncMyiTunes program. Anyway, it's no longer indexing. Now it says that my iPod is unsupported. I also tried putting some songs on a USB stick and it says that's unsupported as well. I've looked all over through online searches and it seems the only garaunteed method of fixing this is pulling the fuse and that's something I'm unable to do. Oh well. I'm actually lucky that Sync only lasted a week. That's better than getting really used to the convenience of voice commands for months or so, and then having it stop working. This seems like a very common problem and I'm not going to the dealer every time this happens so I'm giving up on it for now. Thanks for everyone trying to help me out.

I don't think I've ever bought a car with a full tank.

Running the AC on lowest settings tends to drag my MPG down to the high 30s. I usually get mid to high 40s with some nice low 50s thrown in.

A problem I have which I didn't,mention before is that when I tried looking for the fuse, my vision got a little blury. That may explain why I couldn't find the #32 fuse. I'm a bit clautrophobic. Even thinking about it now makes me feel pressure on my eyes. I just wanted to see if anyone knew exactly which fuse to pull before I tried it, because I know it's going to be a bit of a problem for me to pull the fuse. I wanted to spend as little time as possible down there. I'll try looking again for a #32 fuse. If I can't find it, I'll just try the #33 one.

I'm still getting high 40s to low 50s on my trips to & from work. Very nice. The last few days have been terribly humid and I've been using the AC. The AC seems to put the mileage down to high 30s but I don't mind. It's not worth taking a shower before work, then being all sweaty again by the time I get to work.
