Hi Guys, I got my TSB done yesterday for the click/pop noise. Had to wait for a month for the thrust washer kit to arrive. They did both sides and so far it looks like the problem is fixed.. no noise like before. While the car was at the dealership, I had them take care of the safety recall for fuel delivery module and the powertrain reprogram for improved fuel efficiency. They did replace the fuel delivery module. I didnt see any noticable improvements in fuel efficiency yet, as not many miles after the reprogram. With the reprogram, I did notice that the car doesn't remember my home/office locations. Previously when I'm close to my home/office, it will go into EV+ mode but that didn't happen last night which I'm assuming the reprogram erased. Anyway, I guess its just a matter of few more days before it will pick them up. (sorry to go off topic on the reprogram..)

Went to the dealer yesterday for the cracking/clinking noise and showed them the TSB. They checked the car and ordered the necessary parts. Like most folks here in this forum, it is back ordered and dealer said it will be about a month. Will check with the service advisor after a few weeks. Anyone who has the thrust washer kit installed, please let us know if that has fixed the sound.

I hear the cracking noise when accelerating from stop or coming to stop (EV or ICE mode). When the windows are shut, it sounds like a tapping noise, but with the windows rolled down, there is a distinctive metallic sound to it.

Reg the Cracking Noise.. Yes, we are all waiting for ford fo say what the heck it is and what fix is needed (atleast im waiting). No point taking to the dealer when a few others have tried the same, replacing parts etc and still having issues. I also have the rear glass distortion and its a bit annoying, but wouldn't try to change it considering the amount of teardown required as you guys have called out. The last time I took my car to the dealer to get my exterior rear quarter glass chrome trim fixed, the morons in the dealership put dirty fingers on my headliner in a few places.. I will have to try and get rid of it with magic eraser or something.. ugh

EricFla, Thanks for the clarification. When I spoke to my service advisor, he mentioned that they haven't heard of this compliant before. He recommended to set up test drive with the mech and they can see what the prob is. Based on the discussions here, i will just wait till a TSB is issued as I already know what their answer may be.

Hi, I basically get the same sound (when accelerating or decelerating) as the recorded clip that Harbor posted. ericFla, I saw the dealer report from your link in the other post.It says the customer issue (about the noise) and all it says is no work performed. In one of the previous post in that thread you said " 1. The clicking noise in the front of the car = Common noise made by the gas engine and the Electric motor. I LoL'ed." Is that what the dealership told you? or is it from Ford? i'm sorry if I missed anything, but is this an issue or not? If it a common noise for hybrids, why did I not notice it from first day. I only started noticing it around 1000 miles. I believe others mentioned about the same. Again, Sorry if I missed anything, but just trying to find whether we have an issue or not, or if we are all worried about nothing.

Once the part is in, it is a cpl of hours of labor (assuming your dealer's body shop can do the glass work). In my case, they had to call in someone from a glass comany. I dropped it off on Friday evening and picked it up on Saturday evening as I didn't have time to sit at the dealership for few hours. I know they didnt start the work until around 1.00pm on Saturday and the car was ready by 3.30pm. I didn't get a copy of the paper work on Satuday as I was in a hurry. Once I get the copy, i will know exactly what they changed (whether the entire glass+weatherstrip/chrometrim or just just the weatherstrip/chrometrim)

Car was at the dealership on Saturday and they fixed it. Apparently they had to get a glass company to replace the entire rear quarter glass along with the weatherstrip which has the chrome tirm piece.

Hey, I can't open the picture, but from the description, it is the same exact issue as mine. I noticed it basically the same way as lmp180psu... Wtf Ford? I took it to dealer last week and they couldn't fix it. Took pics, vin etc to log it as warranty repair. The service mgr has ordered the part (dont know if it is just the weather strip with chrome trim or the quarter glass and the weatherstrip/chrometrim.. Appointment this Saturday and they have a glass guy coming in as well. Will let you know how the fix goes. lmp180psu... Let us know how/when your issue is fixed.

Hey Guys, New to the forum here. I started noticing the same clicking/popping noise when accelarating / decelerating in EV mode. I think the noise started at around1000 miles (currently at 1200 miles). I will be contacting my dealer as well and will let them know of the hotline number. Hope Ford resolves this issue soon. Once you start noticing this noise, you cannot 'unnotice' it and will hear it everytime.. which is annoying and worrying :(
